GIANTGRANTGAMES CUSTOM CAMPAIGN ARCHIVEGGG CCA
THE APP THAT INSTALLS EVERYTHING IN THIS ARCHIVE

StarCraft II has no mod browser. The Custom Campaign Manager is the small Windows app that puts a community campaign where the game expects to find one — and takes it back out again when you want the original back. Every campaign on this site is built to be installed with it.

GiantGrantGames is producing an updated CCM walkthrough for this page. Until it lands, the written steps below cover the whole process.

FOUR STEPS, START TO FINISH
  1. Get the manager

Download the executable above and put it in a folder of its own — it works out of that folder and keeps its campaigns in a CustomCampaigns folder beside itself.

  2. Add a campaign

Download any campaign from this archive and drop the .zip into CustomCampaigns, or drag it onto the manager to import it. Each campaign carries a metadata.txt that tells the CCM where its files belong.

  3. Load it

Pick the campaign from the manager's dropdown and load it. The CCM removes whatever campaign was installed before, checks the files came out cleanly, then copies the new one into StarCraft II — so exactly one custom campaign is active at a time.

  4. Play

Launch StarCraft II and open Campaign. The custom campaign sits where the Blizzard one was. Toggle it off in the manager whenever you want the stock campaigns back.

“Unable to find metadata.txt for…”

A folder inside CustomCampaigns has no metadata.txt. Every campaign needs one. If you unzipped by hand you have probably nested the folder one level too deep — drop the original .zip in instead and let the manager unpack it.

A campaign doesn't appear in the dropdown

The manager only lists what's in CustomCampaigns with a valid metadata.txt. Check the file landed in the right folder, then reopen the manager.

Switching campaigns fails partway

Close StarCraft II first — the CCM has to delete the previous campaign's files before it can install the next one, and it verifies they're gone before continuing.
