Privacy Policy
A short policy, because the site collects very little. No analytics, no advertising, no tracking across other websites, and nothing sold.
About this policy
This covers the website and the Discord bot that keeps it in sync with the GiantGrantGames Custom Campaign Manager server.
What we collect
Only what signing in requires: your Discord user ID, your display name, a link to your Discord avatar, your role on this site, and the date your account was created.
The sign-in asks Discord for two permissions — “identify” and “guilds.members.read”. The second is used for one thing: reading your nickname in the CCM server so your name here matches your name there.
What we do not collect
No email address — the sign-in never asks Discord for one, so we never receive it. No passwords; Discord handles sign-in entirely.
No analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts. Fonts are served from our own server, so reading a page does not tell anyone else that you were here.
What the Discord bot reads
The bot reads posts made publicly in the campaign forum channels of the CCM server. It does not read direct messages, and it cannot see channels it has not been given access to.
From a campaign post it keeps the text, the title, the poster's display name and Discord user ID, a link back to the post, and copies of the attached images — everything needed to build the campaign page. That page is public, exactly as the original post is.
What is public
Anything you deliberately publish: campaign pages, versions and patch notes, comments and replies, and images you upload.
Your favourites are private — they power your list and your new-version notifications, and are shown to nobody else. Evidence you write when claiming an author page or requesting mapmaker access is visible to site admins.
Cookies
One cookie, set when you sign in, which keeps you signed in. No advertising or analytics cookies. Signing out clears it.
Logs and counters
Download counts are a single running total per campaign — not linked to you, and we do not record who downloaded what.
As with any website, the server may keep short-lived request logs containing IP addresses, used only to keep the site up and deal with abuse.
Third-party services
Discord, for sign-in and for the bot. Whichever host an author chose for their download files. Both have their own privacy policies covering what happens on their side.
Data is never sold, rented or shared beyond that. It lives on a single rented server run by the maintainer, alongside its backups.
Your rights
Ask and your account is deleted, along with your comments, replies and favourites. Campaign pages you published may be kept as a record of the campaign, but can be removed or unlinked from you on request.
Changes
If what the site collects ever changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top will tell you when.
